At Vivace Music Academy we believe in the active performer who loves teaching, our students become master pieces crafted with care and dedication by our faculty.
Telling a student what to do is simply not enough, demonstration is key for the evolution of young students. If we go back few years before on our students ages we will realize that not too long ago our students were learning everything they learned purely by the concept of imitation. That is why I believe that students should be able to experience how their active performer teacher approaches technique , musicality and tone production on stage, it will be second nature to the students to start using this natural skill. By consequence the learning process will be faster than only using the theoretical approach.
It is also important that our students attend as many concerts perform by their teachers. Last month I invited some of my students to attend the Culturals String quartet at the Boca Raton Museum of Arts which I founded and play first violin, it was wonderful to see my students in the audience experienced our performance, we had as guest artist our piano faculty member David Block who played with us the Piano Quintet by Antonin Dvorak.
Few weeks after they came to see the Palm Beach Opera production of the opera Candide by Leonardo Bernstein for which I have had the privilege to be 3rd stand in the first violin section under our conductor David Stern.
The musical fun continued as I played with the Boca Raton Symphonia performing the sound track music to the movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial at the Mizner park as part of the Boca Raton Music Festival, conducted by Constantine Kitsopoulos.
This month I will be inviting our students to attend the Palm Beach Opera by Mozart the Marriage of Fígaro at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.
